Consumer Affairs Victoria Advocacy

Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) Advocacy Program provides advocacy support to private tenants and consumers who are experiencing difficulties in dealing with landlords, agents or traders.  Access to the program is through referrals from the local CAV office, CAV call centre, or by referral from a community support agency.  Clients can also self-refer.  Caseworkers can assist with a wide range of issues including, but not exclusively, rent arrears, evictions, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) matters, faulty goods or services, and scams.
